Woodleigh

Woodleigh is a single-storey care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 39 older people, some living with dementia, across five separate units. Each unit has bathroom facilities, dining areas and garden access. The home also provides short-term respite care for up to eight adults with learning disabilities. At inspection, 37 people were living in the home and eight were receiving respite care. The home offers spacious communal lounges and garden areas.

Staff had been appropriately recruited and support was tailored to individual needs. Risk assessments identified specific areas requiring support, with areas of risk regularly reviewed and monitored. Staff demonstrated understanding of safeguarding and whistleblowing procedures. The registered managers were responsive in assessing and monitoring the home and its grounds. Some areas for development were identified regarding staff support and deployment, as well as internal and external improvements needed to the premises.
