The Oaks

The Oaks is a residential care home supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people, with accommodation in a main house and a separate annex. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding staff were kind, skilled and understood how to protect people from harm, with enough support in place to meet individual needs safely.

People and relatives told inspectors they felt safe and happy with the care provided, and were involved in planning support and making decisions. Some relatives raised concerns about the compatibility of people living together, though inspectors observed residents engaging well and enjoying activities of their choice. Medicines, staffing and quality monitoring were all found to be well managed.
