Could the NHS fund Stourbridge House's fees?
NHS Continuing Healthcare could cover 100% of care costs with no means test.
Stourbridge House is a residential respite care home supporting up to six people aged 13 to 65 with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, or sensory impairment. The service provides short-term overnight and weekend care. At the time of inspection, two people were receiving respite care. The home delivers person-centred support designed to help people maintain independence, choice, and control in their lives. Staff work with people and their relatives to review risks and put comprehensive assessments in place. Care records document each person's individual needs and support requirements. Relatives reported feeling confident that their loved ones were safe at the service. However, controlled medicines were not consistently being signed into the medicines book by two staff members as required by regulations.
