Stanley House

Stanley House is a care home providing nursing care for up to 21 people with complex neurological needs, including Huntington's Disease and acquired brain injury, as well as those with mental health needs and physical disabilities. At the time of inspection, 20 people were using the service. Staff members were safely recruited and people felt safe in their care, with clear safeguarding procedures in place and evidence of investigations where needed. Individual risk assessments had been completed for all residents.

Medicines were managed safely with actions taken to address any gaps identified. Care plans were developed and contained detailed information about supporting each person's specific needs. People and their relatives were complimentary about the quality of care provided, noting that staff demonstrated good knowledge and commitment. Residents were actively involved in making decisions about their care and support. Staff wore appropriate personal protective equipment and relevant policies and guidance were available to support safe practice throughout the home.
