Saxonwood provides residential care for up to 36 older people over three floors, with 31 residents at the time of inspection. The home supports people to maintain contact with family and friends through flexible visiting arrangements, including visits in the home or a dedicated garden pod that is cleaned between each use. For relatives at a distance, staff facilitate video calls or provide updates by telephone and email to keep people connected.

The home encourages residents to go out safely in the community, supporting them with masks and lateral flow tests upon return. Throughout recent challenges, the registered manager emphasized that staff have prioritized additional activities and support for residents' emotional wellbeing, recognizing the importance of maintaining people's quality of life and social connections.
