Rosebank Care Home

Rosebank Care Home is a residential care home providing personal care for older people living with dementia, mental health conditions and physical disabilities. Following concerns about safety, dignity and governance, the CQC found two breaches relating to safeguarding and governance. Restrictions on people were not always the least restrictive option, mental capacity assessments were not always robust, and oversight of staff training was insufficient.

Inspectors found people were treated kindly and involved in planning their care, with staff described by relatives as approachable and attentive. Meals, activities and individual needs were well managed. However, shortfalls in safety and leadership meant the home requires improvement overall, and the provider has been asked to submit an action plan.
