Rivermead

Rivermead provides nursing care to 46 residents across two separate wings, with capacity for up to 74 older and younger adults. The Westow wing supports people with general nursing needs, while the Malton wing cares for those with dementia-related needs. Each wing has adapted facilities. Residents reported feeling safe and well supported by staff, who receive training in dementia care and safeguarding alongside regular supervision and annual appraisals.

The service maintains robust recruitment procedures and employs sufficient staffing to deliver care promptly. Medicines are managed safely, and the service operates within a framework that promotes choice and control, supporting people in the least restrictive way possible. A planned programme of activities is available to all residents, including their families and friends.
