OSJCT Townsend House is a care home providing personal care and support to older people. The CQC assessed the service after concerns were raised about staffing levels, malodours and nutritional support, and found the home was performing well overall, meeting its expectations.
Inspectors found staffing levels had improved, with safe recruitment, medicines management and risk assessments in place. People and relatives described staff as kind and caring, and felt safe and well supported. The home was found to be well led, with an approachable management team, effective quality assurance systems and good communication with people and their families.
