Gables Care Home

Gables Care Home provides accommodation and nursing care for up to 64 people across four separate wings, with two wings offering nursing care and one specialising in dementia care. At the time of inspection, 32 people were living at the home.

The inspection found significant concerns with medicine management, with people not always receiving their medicines safely. Staff reported feeling unsupported and did not receive regular supervisions as required by the provider's policy. While risks to residents were assessed, these assessments were not consistently updated to reflect changing needs. The home's quality monitoring systems had failed to identify the shortfalls discovered during the inspection.
