Cumberland provides residential personal and nursing care for up to 56 people, with 42 residents at the time of inspection. The home had implemented comprehensive Covid-19 prevention measures, including screening all visitors for respiratory symptoms before entry. A dedicated area near reception allowed visitors to put on and remove personal protective equipment, with supplies available on site and designated disposal bins. The provider arranged visiting appointments in four daily slots—two morning and two afternoon—allowing essential caregivers to visit residents in their rooms while other visitors used a designated pod in the grounds. All visitors received support with appropriate PPE use and were required to provide negative lateral flow test results, either completed on premises or at home, before visiting.
