Could the NHS fund Chaseways's fees?
NHS Continuing Healthcare could cover 100% of care costs with no means test.
Chaseways provides personal and nursing care to up to six people, with five residents living there at the time of inspection. The home comprises three ground floor flats, each with two bedrooms, en-suites, lounges and kitchen access, plus individual gardens.
Staff acknowledged areas for development in communication skills, particularly regarding British sign language. They recognised that effective communication was important for residents' wellbeing, as poor communication could contribute to frustration. The provider had offered training to staff and provided additional resources to support this development.
