The Firs Rest Home

The Firs Rest Home provides personal care for up to 15 older people, some of whom may be living with dementia. At the time of inspection, the home was at full capacity with 15 residents.

Staff demonstrated good infection control practices, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and following correct procedures for putting on and removing PPE safely, with good hand hygiene observed throughout. The home maintained essential visitor restrictions in place, enabling residents to see family members through conservatory windows during visits. Residents spoke positively about these arrangements and felt connected to their loved ones despite lockdown limitations.
